According to Balraj Sharma, honorary general secretary, Punjab Swimming Association, these swimmers were selected during the trials held on June 2 at Sangrur wherein around 140 boys and girls took part in the selection process. The association has been organising preparatory camp for 16 water-polo probables since June7 at the Sports School Swimming Pool, Jalandhar, without any monetary assistance from the Punjab Sports Department. Sushil Kohli, Asian Games bronze medallist and Dronacharya awardee has been imparting coaching to the probables. A 13-member water-polo squad will be announced at the conclusion of this camp, said Sharma. The selected swimmers in the sub-junior category are Ojas Sund, Aditya Trehan, Kartikey Bahl, Sahibjot Kaur and Bhagyvardka Verma from Ludhiana; Jujhar Singh and Aporva Sharma from Mohali; Rehat Batth from Jalandhar; Agamteshwar Singh from Patiala and Vinaayaka Mahajan from Pathankot..
