15 trucks carrying ration for Amarnath shrine flagged off

Our CorrespondentMandi Ahmedgarh, June 17Fifteen trucks carrying ration for langar to be organised at Baba Amarnath Dham and Baltal in Jammu and Kashmir were flagged off at Shree Ram Mandir at the local town. Former president Ravinder Puri fagged off a convoy of trucks and president of Shree Ram Mandir and councillor Deepak Sharma chaired the function held to felicitate contributors and activists of host organization (Har Har Mahadev Sewa Dal). Convener of the project Inderpal Singh Walia said office-bearers and activists of various social and religious organisations of the town had contributed ration required for organising langar at the shrine, besides medicines and mattresses and quilts for boarding and lodging of pilgrims during the forthcoming pilgrimage. “Besides arranging grocery items for the langar, we have arranged medicines, blankets and beds for pilgrims staying at the shrine,” said Walia, adding that oxygen cylinders were also provided to those pilgrims who were suffering from altitude sickness..
