Over 3 lakh students appear for moral education examination

Tribune News ServiceLudhiana, August 20Three lakh and twelve thousands students from 3,618 schools appeared in the national-level moral education examination conducted by Guru Gobind Singh Study Circle in Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Chandigarh, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Orissa, Bihar and Bengal. Amrik Singh Sher Khan, examination co-coordinator, said 24 zones were formed to conduct the exam which was dedicated to the 550th birth anniversary celebrations of Guru Nanak Dev. Books titled “Guru Nanak Dev-Life Story and Teachings” and “Bal Virsa” were prescribed to the students for the exam. The students resolved to build a powerful society with honest earnings, cooperate with each other and friendship with all and universal well being..
