Tribune News ServiceLudhiana, August 22A capacity-building programme on ‘Six Waste Management Rules, 2016’ was conducted by the National Productivity Council, (NPC) Chandigarh, in association with Ludhiana Municipal Corporation and Chamber of Industrial and Commercial Undertakings (CICU), here. While inaugurating the programme, Kanwalpreet Brar, IAS, Municipal Commissioner, thanked the NPC for organising this event in Ludhiana and stressed that all stakeholders must put joint efforts in waste management and implementing Waste Management Rules, 2016. She urged all participants to make collective efforts in making Ludhiana cleaner and help it make it to the top rank during Swachh Survekshan 2020. The programme will cover key provisions of six waste management rules, various issues in the implementation of these rules and related success stories and case studies.
