While members of various communities thronged temples to celebrate Janamashtami, organisers of parbhat pheris paid obeisance to Lord Krishna by paying a visit to almost all religious places. The festival was celebrated with fervour and zest at various temples situated in various localities of the region, including Sihar, Barundi, Malaudh, Dehlon and Kup Kalan. The celebrations began with parbhat pheris organised by members of various religious organisations at Ahmedgarh, Raikot and Payal. Subeg Singh, Ahmedgarh DSP; Gurmit Singh Tejey, Raikot DSP; and Surjit Singh Dhanoya DSP Payal supervised security arrangements at localities falling under their respective jurisdiction..
