Sukhiwnder Singh Sekhon, general secretary, CPI (M), said they would initiate a programme to unite likeminded outfits in the state. “Contrary to the claims of saffron outfit’s leaders, the Central Government has failed to maintain economic stability,” said Sekhon. He said thousands of youth have been rendered jobless and the PM Narendra Modi-led government was more concerned about well-being of animals than humans. Thet said, “Youth are dying due to drug menace and loss of 23 lives in an explosion at an illegal cracker factory in Batala speaks volumes about corruption in the state.”.
