The programme was aimed at sensitising young minds regarding the importance of safe driving and making them aware of the hazards of irresponsible driving. In his opening address, Dr SS Kukal, Dean, College of Agriculture, PAU, asked students to respect other people on the roads. Dr Rajinder Chawla, chairman, Asha Chinh Welfare Society, highlighted the devastating consequences that the victims and their families had to face after a road accident. More than 1,000 students and faculty members attended the programme which was followed by an intra-college quiz competition on road safety.
