Our CorrespondentLudhiana, November 11The Sarabha Nagar police have booked a person under section 188 of the IPC for violation of the prohibitory orders against stubble burning while two others have been arrested for the same offences by the Meharban police on the outskirts of the city. The complainant reported to the police that on early morning of Sunday when he came out of his house to go for a morning walk, he saw the suspect burning stubble in his fields. A case under section 188 of the IPC has been registered against him. The Meharban police have arrested Satnam Singh of Sasrali village and Sarbjit Singh of Walipur village under section 188 of the IPC for burning stubble. Both cases were reported and arrests made by police patrol parties for violations of prohibitory orders promulgated by the Police Commissioner under section 144 of the IPC against stubble-burning..
