Bharat Bhushan Ashu, Punjab Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Minister, announced the decision on the concluding session of the state-level function held to pay tributes to the martyr on Saturday. The state government will also continue its pursuit to achieve the status of the National Martyr for Shaheed Kartar Singh, said Ashu. Paying tributes to martyrs on the occasion of the Martyrdom Day of Shaheed Kartar Singh, Ashu claimed that the state government led by Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh was dedicated towards reviving and maintaining all memorials associated with freedom fighters and martyrs of the state.
