GLADA swings into action after Thakur Colony residents’ plaint

Kuldip BhatiaLudhiana, December 3Responding to a complaint lodged by residents of Thakur Colony on Pakhowal Road here against illegal commercial building being constructed in a residential area, the Greater Ludhiana Area Development Authority (GLADA) has acted swiftly. Sobti and other residents of the colony maintained that if permitted, the said commercial building would become a permanent nuisance and the structure would also block the sunlight, view and residential elevations in the colony. Even safety of the residential area would also be compromised, they apprehended. The residents urged the authorities to take action and get the illegal construction stopped. Further action will be taken against the violator depending upon his response and production of documents,” she added..
