Summary:

The Aided Colleges Contractual Teachers Front seemed to have heaved a sigh of relief as far as the regularisation of their services by the govesrnment is concerned. Assistant Professors, appointed under the New Grant-in Aid Scheme, were waiting for the letter of regularisation of their services for more than three years. The first batch of teachers had completed their contractual service on June 30, 2018, but had not yet received their letters of regularisation. Reacting to the move, Pargat Singh Garcha, member of core committee, Aided Colleges Contractual Teachers Front, said: “We are happy with the decision of the government but at the same time ask the officials not to reduce approvals every time. The court took a very serious note of the situation of vacant posts in these colleges and directed the government to fill those posts..
