The Chief Minister said, "If the Central Government does not provide Corona vaccine to Punjab within five days, then people may have to face the shortage of vaccine here too." The Chief Minister expressed the hope of sending the next supply of Covid vaccine soon and said that if the state meets the fixed target of 2 lakh vaccinations in a day, then according to this the vaccine will be finished in three days.

Captain Amarinder said that he has written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan to share the next supply related program.

During the video conference convened by Congress President Sonia Gandhi to discuss the status of Covid, the Chief Minister said that despite the slow introduction of vaccination, Punjab has so far given 16 lakh persons a dose of Covid.
