The count of active virus patients dropped considerably to 2827 on June 5 which was lowest after March 27 when the district had logged 2776 active cases. Since then the active cases were on a constant high and had touched a record high of 13217 on May 16. This was the highest number of active cases registered in any district of Punjab so far.
