Rai to lay foundation stone for projects in city today

Ramanath Rai will lay the foundation stone for development projects estimated at ?2,266.65 crore under the jurisdiction of Mangaluru City Corporation on Tuesday. Foundation stone for a modern market- cum- commerical complex at Kadri (?16 crore) and at Kankanady (?42.50 crore) would also be laid. It will include 65 projects costing about ?2,000 crore, under the Smart City mission. Some of the road projects to be taken up will include widening Mangaluru Junction Railway Station Road, Yekkuru- Pakkaladkka JM Road development, Lady Hill- Sulthan Bathery Road widening, building storm-water drains on the concrete road between Kavoor Junction and Kuloor Junction, widening Malemar road, and building footpaths on Kadri Kambala Road..
