Karnataka: Newly inducted housing minister vows to provide houses for poor

Hence, the scheme can be extended to APL families too, Khader said.“Being a minister in the coalition government I have more responsibilities. However, the proposal will have to be cleared by the cabinet,” Khader said.He said the rural housing scheme benefits should also be extended to APL families. MANGALURU: Minister for urban development and housing UT Khader said he will hold discussion with officials to modify the income ceiling stipulated for housing scheme beneficiaries.During his maiden visit after becoming a minister in the HD Kumaraswamy government , Khader told reporters that his priority will be to provide houses for all poor families. I will seek suggestions from experts and discuss with officials before implementing city development programmes..
