Boat repairer electrocuted in Ullal

The police said that as he was walking along the slushy mud road, Ashok reportedly came in contact with the live power supply line that had snapped. Following his death, local residents held a snap protest demanding action against the alleged negligence of Mangalore Electricity Supply Company Limited. The residents accused MESCOM officials of not taking action to remove the roadside coconut tree that was close to the power supply line. According to Ullal police, Ashok D’Souza, 26, was with his friends in the kshetra and left for his house around 9 p.m..
