more-inThe ‘Aradhane’ of Lakshmivara Tirtha Swami of Shiroor Mutt, who passed away here on July 19, will be held simultaneously at the ‘moola mutt’ at Shiroor village, 22 km from here, and at the Sri Krishna Mutt/Temple here on September 5. A special ‘puja’ will be offered by Vidyadheesha Tirtha Swami of Paryaya Palimar Mutt at the Sri Krishna Mutt/Temple here in Udupi on the same day. The ‘prasada’ of the ‘homas’ would be offered to the ‘vrindavana’ of Lakshmivara Tirtha in Shiroor. A joint press release issued by the Paryaya Palimar Mutt, Sri Krishna Mutt, Shiroor Mutt and Sode Mutt, here on Friday, said that on the morning of September 5, there will be a ‘kalashabhisheka’ to Lord Mukhyaprana (Hanuman) and various ‘homas’ would be held at the ‘moola mutt’ in Shiroor. The ‘santharpane’ would be held for the sake of devotees coming from other towns at 1 p.m.
