Bharat Bandh: Buses, autos damaged; shops remain closed in Mangaluru

MANGALURU: Several buses, auto rickshaws and other vehicles were damaged in the city on Monday when opposition parties observed bandh to protest rising fuel prices.Stones were pelted at long distance buses from Hubballi, Bengaluru and other places on arrival in the city. Nayak, in his complaint, has alleged that the incident happened while he was on his way to Kalladka from Bantwal. Protesters in the rally led by MLC Ivan D’Souza shouted slogans against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and demanded the government to decrease fuel prices.
