Summary:

MANGALURU: Welcoming pro-activeness of Karnataka High Court in directing the government to fill all potholes in Bengaluru in 24-hours, MLC S L Bhoje Gowda on Thursday appealed to Dinesh Maheshwari , chief justice of Karnataka High Court to show same zeal in dealing with pendency. Judicial infrastructure including quarters for judges, court rooms and staff for these courts has been addressed to a large extent. “If the government fails to maintain quality in the process of complying with the CJs directive, the whole purpose is defeated,” he said adding the courts should also see the practicality of their orders when they give one. “I welcome the CJs directive (on potholes) as an ordinary citizen as well,” the MLC said.Asserting that the governments over the years have met most of the infrastructure and staffing demands placed before it by the judiciary, Bhoje Gowda said the judiciary cannot complain about it as a reason for pendency. Noting that the projects are taken up using public and not personal funds, he said it is not correct on part of MPs/MLAs to use their pictures on these projects..
