Another LPG tanker overturns on Bengaluru-Mangaluru highway, gas leakage hits traffic

MANGALURU: Traffic on the Mangaluru-Bengaluru highway was disrupted following a leakage of liquefied petroleum gas LPG ) from a tanker which overturned near Bedrodi in Uppinangady on wee hours of Sunday. The speeding vehicle while negotiating a curve near Bedrodi Hanging Bridge, toppled and led to gas leakage. Three empty LPG gas tankers were brought to spot and gas shifting process is.Meanwhile, the traffic on busy national highway has diverted from Periyashanti and Old Gate to other alternative roads which connect to Mangaluru as well Bengaluru. This is the third incident in the past two weeks.According to police, the incident took place around 1.50am when LPG laden capsule vehicle was plying to Bengaluru from Mangaluru.
