MANGALURU: Minister for urban development and housing U T Khader said the government will introduce a single window system for building/ layout plan approvals in urban areas across the state. “It is a first of its kind scheme in India that allows developers of residential and commercial buildings to obtain approvals through a single window. In the new system, there will be a time-frame and the approvals will be given in a coordinated manner by various departments. The new system, which will reduce the burden on those who want to develop commercial and residential projects , will be inaugurated by chief minister H D Kumaraswamy and others on December 15.All types of building licence approvals will be done through the single window system within a specified period. All the processes for the clearance, including spot inspection, will be done digitally through the dedicated online software,” said Khader..
