MANGALURU: Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited on Friday entered into a memorandum of understanding with Dr Shivarama Karantha Pilikula Nisarga Dhama , Pilikula for development of a biodiversity park . Once ready, the biodiversity park will be a feast for the eyes and minds of the visitors. The MoU is valid for a period of five years.M Vinayakumar, group general manager (i/c refinery) signed the MoU on behalf of MRPL . The park is also intended to sensitise people and industrial counterparts about the biodiversity and adopting ex-situ conservation methods. MRPL, since its inception, has lush foliage in and around the refinery which fosters a variety of flora and fauna species..
