Campus ambassadors, ELCs to create awareness on polling

A training programme for campus ambassadors has already been held.SVEEP committee chairman and Dakshina Kannada zilla panchayat CEO R Selvamani said those students, who have been selected as campus ambassadors, will be working for one academic year. “Campus ambassadors have already commenced various activities and they will continue their awareness programmes even after the Lok Sabha election. While ELCs have been opened in 118 first grade colleges and 203 PU colleges, 560 high schools also have such clubs in the district. Campus ambassadors will communicate with their classmates, teachers and staff of the colleges. Similarly, campus ambassadors will also help voters to get identity cards and to check their names in the voters list, and take initiatives to add their names or insert corrections in it..
