Mangaluru: The Dakshina Kannada district police on Thursday rescued 20 cattle while they were being illegally transported to a slaughterhouse . The police seized the vehicle and rescued all the animals. The truck and the animals are valued at Rs 4.55 lakh.After the vehicle was intercepted, one of the accused named Ismail tried to flee from the spot.
