In UP government’s mass marriage scheme event, 12 married couples wed again to avail monetary benefits

If the girl is a widow or a divorcee, Rs 25,000 is deposited in woman’s account and Rs 5,000 is spent on household items. MUZAFFARNAGAR: Under the UP government’s mass marriage scheme , as many as 92 pairs got married in Shamli on Monday but investigation has revealed that 12 pairs – which were already married – got themselves re-married in order to avail monetary incentive to the tune of Rs 35,000 each.
