Edu dept seeks fresh list of upper primary schools still lacking power supply

Meerut: In a recent order released by the education department, basic shiksha adhikaris across Uttar Pradesh have been asked to prepare a list of upper primary schools devoid of electricity connection. The list is being sought in the backdrop of complaints that not all schools were provided with power supply even though money was released for the process.“It has come to our notice that many upper primary schools still lack electricity connection. Accordingly, budget will also be released for the schools where electrification work is still pending,” read Singh’s order.
