The Meerut Special task Force (STF) on Wednesday arrested three members of a gang in connection with the sensational robbery-cum-murder of an 18-year-old newly-wed woman on NH-58, a few hours after her wedding, on April 27. During interrogation, Akshaya said that the crime committed on April 27 was a robbery bid that went wrong. The gang’s kingpin, Himanshu Singhal, who had shot the woman, is absconding.Four assailants had waylaid the car of the newlywed couple at Mataur village in Daurala area of the district. He named Himanshu, Suraj Kumar, and Dheeraj Chaudhary as accomplices.It is to be noted that the two other gang members -Vipin Sharma and Vishal Chaudhary- were not involved in April 27 robbery.
