MEERUT: Police in Saharanpur on Friday booked Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Kunwar Ammar Ahmad for projecting himself as director of UP Cooperative Agri-industrial Equipment Distribution Corporation - a position equivalent to a minister of state in the Yogi Adityanath government.Police said Ahmad even uploaded on his Facebook account a fake identity card and a fake appointment letter that he claimed was issued by UP principal secretary (corporations).According to police sources, Ahmad was a former Samajwadi Party youth wing president of Rampur assembly constituency.He had also organised a welcome programme for himself on Thursday and arrived with a battery of guards at the venue..
