Meerut: Angry over alleged police inaction in a murder case, a panchayat held by the family of a youth who died due to drowning recently targeted the department by threatening to cut into pieces a deputy superintendent of police in Baghpat. His relatives had alleged that he was murdered, while the post mortem report indicated he had drowned.“After Saakib’s family made a request, we ordered a second post mortem by a panel of doctors. The panchayat was convened in Baraut.It all started after the body of a youth was recovered from a drain on Nehru road in Baraut area on May 6 this year.
