ANMs appointed for health wellness centres to be trained

Meerut: The Auxiliary Nurse Midwives (ANM) appointed for health wellness centres are set to be trained for non-communicable diseases in UP’s nine districts chosen for the scheme. “You are instructed to select people who are interested in training the ANMs and will do the work dedicatedly,” read Pandey’s order.These health and wellness centres are set to provide comprehensive health care, for non-communicable diseases and child health services. This should be done in the backdrop of the health wellness centres that are being made in selected districts by August 15, by converting primary and community health centres,” read the order issued by Dr Pooja Pandey, director of UP health and family welfare department.The training is scheduled on August 6 and August 7. It should be noted that all the primary and community health centres have to be converted to such wellness centres in selected nine districts of the state including Varanasi, Gorakhpur, Allahabad, Meerut, Bareilly, Basti, Sitapur, Mirzapur and Shravasti by August 15.“This is to inform you that a two-day training workshop for the ANMs should be done to train them about non-communicable diseases.
