Delhi police head constable mowed down by train

Meerut: Ravindra Kumar, a Delhi police head constable deployed as a security personnel at the Ministry of Home Affairs, was crushed under a moving train while deboarding it on Friday evening. Shailesh Kumar Pandey, SP (Baghpat), said, “The body was handed over to the family after postmortem.” Kumar, who hailed from Baghpat, slipped while getting down from Delhi-Shamli passenger train which had arrived at 9:40 pm at Baghpat road railway station.Kumar fell into the gap between the edge of the platform and train coach and was dragged along the moving train, said Kiran Raj, Baghpat GRP incharge. “He died on the spot,” he added.Kumar was on leave and was going home..
