Bus conductor held for raping girl on Delhi-Pauri highway

Bijnor: Two days after a 22-year-old girl was allegedly gang-raped in a moving car on Delhi-Pauri highway, police on Friday arrested the main accused.The accused is identified as Sanjeev Kumar, a bus conductor of a roadways bus who had given the victim lift in his car and raped her. She alleged that the three later gangraped and dumped her national highway 119 near Bijnor.A case against the three accused, including Sanjeev Kumar under sec 376D and 120B of IPC has been registered. The two other accused are still at large.The survivor is from Muzaffarnagar and was on the way to Kotdwar when she was assaulted. Meanwhile, the roadways bus conductor, who she had got acquainted with during frequent trips between Kotdwar and Muzaffarnagar, offered her a lift in his private car.She told police that since the conductor was well known to her, she agreed to travel with him in his car..
