UP Government announces contests for youths to create awareness on Ganga

Meerut: With an aim to create awareness among youngsters about river Ganga, UP government has announced various contests, including short films, Ganga song, slogan writing for 14-25 year age-group.In a meeting organized at collectorate, DFO Aditi Sharma revealed the plan in which youths will be allowed entry into Hastinapur Wildlife sanctuary through which Ganga passes in the district and can shoot short films. “The contest will continue until February 20 after which assessment will be done. This is a pan UP contest and attractive prizes are kept for the same.” Recently, a large number of bird watchers from Delhi assembled in Hastinapur wildlife sanctuary on the occasion of bird festival that fell on World Wetlands Day on Saturday..
