Bijnor: The BJP has fielded Suchi Chaudhary, wife of Peda riot accused Aishwarya Chaudhary who is lodged in Maharajganj jail, from Bijnor seat.Chaudhary, the district president of BJP-affiliated Adhivakta Sangh, was arrested in September 2016 in connection with the communal clashes in Peda village which had left three persons dead and over a dozen injured.Talking about the eight assembly seats here, BJP district president Rajeev Sisodia said, “Our party has declared the candidates for assembly elections. Suchi Chaudhary was fielded for Bijnor assembly seat, MLA Om Kumar for Nahtaur, former state minister Omwati Devi for Nagina reserved seat, Kamlesh Saini for Chandur, MLA Lokendra Chauhan from Noorpur, former MLA Ashok Rana from Dhampur and Rajeev Agarwal from Najibabad constituency.” The party has not unveiled the name of the candidate from Badapur seat so far..
