Bijnor: The legend of Sultana daku, a dreaded British era dacoit who was active in Terai region of present-day Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh, continues to reverberate the over 200 years old Jalpur castle in Bijnor’s Najibabad subdivision. “My great grandfather Sibba Singh was a big landowner and was the main occupant of the castle in 1922. Sultana had come to kill Sibba Singh, his granddaughter Omwati Devi and her mother Ram Pyari.
