Customs arrest 4 in different gold seizures at Mumbai international airport

In three separate seizures, at the Mumbai international airport on Tuesday, the Mumbai Custom’s Air Intelligence Unit have arrested four persons- including three foreigners and an Indian woman with gold worth Rs 1.27 crore. The said gold bars were concealed in specially created pockets in their pajamas and jeans. The woman who had arrived from Dubai had concealed the gold bars in her rectum. In another incident, the AIU officials found 600 unattended gram of chrome coloured gold cut piece lying on the floor at the arrival hall. While in another seizure the AIU officials arrested two Yemeni nationals who had arrived from Dubai with 24 carats gold bars weighing 2916 gm worth Rs 81 lakh..
