Ravindra, Mumbai's oldest captive lion, who for the past two weeks was under constant medical supervision at Sanjay Gandhi National Park (SGNP) for a leg wound, is said to be out of danger. Veterinary officer Dr Shailesh Pethe said the lion has now been eating well and following his routine, which indicated he is recuperating. The 15-year-old big cat was undergoing treatment for hematoma, a kind of abscess, on left foreleg. The park two other lions, Jespa and Gopa, both seven.
