Bombay HC allows practising doctor to enroll for diploma course

After the High Court order, Sonkamble got admission in the civic run, King Edward Memorial Hospital and Seth Gordhandas Sunderdas Medical College for a diploma course in pediatrics. Sonkamble had applied for the diploma course through the in-service quota. The AGP added that the experience gathered by Sonkamble in taluka areas does count as part of the minimum three years’ experience required. In his petition, Sonkamble stated that he was not allowed to seek admission for the diploma course in pediatrics as “in-service diploma candidate” on the ground that he has not rendered services for the requisite three years and allegedly falls short by one month..
