Vihar lake overflows; city receives 98.4 mm rain on wet Monday

According to data from the BMC’s Automatic Weather Stations, the island city received 57.09% rainfall, the eastern suburbs received 76.4%, while the western suburbs received 56.83%. The figure for Dadar and Mahim beach stood at 65 tonnes, Girgaum Chowpatty at 4 tonnes, Juhu beach at 90 tonnes, Versova beach at 25 tonnes and Gorai beach at 15 tonnes. The showers continued throughout the day and up to 8.30 p.m., stood at 35.8 mm and 16 mm respectively..
