After 10 years, Western Railway starts laying 5th line at Bandra Terminus

These would be connected to Bandra terminus too which will segregate long distance trains from both Mumbai Central and Bandra Terminus. After almost a decade, the Western Railway have finally started work at Bandra terminus end for laying the fifth line. Senior railway officials said that they have begun work on the fifth and sixth line especially near Bandra terminus end. The Western Railway authorities had earlier spent Rs 10 crore to connect this fifth line. Currently, WR has a fifth line between Mumbai Central to Borivali but with a part missing between Mahim and Santacruz..
