Truck stir: Vegetable market takes a hit in Mumbai

Mumbai | Sunday | 22nd July, 2018

Summary:

Supply of vegetables at the Agriculture Produce Market Committee (APMC) in Vashi was hit after truck operators strike entered day two. However, according to traders, the price can rise in the retail market if the strike continues further. Not much impact was seen in the retail market on Saturday. Shahil Shah, a trader at APMC said that they are getting good supply of vegetables despite rainfall in many parts of the state. Normally, the wholesale market receives less supply on Sundays, and if strike continues, the supply will be severely affected..
