Mumbai: Operator may face action over Sunday's incident of Chembur-Wadala Monorail entangling with cable wire

The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) said that Malaysian operator Scomi Engineering should also have kept a check on cable wires beforehand. The Monorail services were initially started in February 2014, and it has been in news over constant technical glitches. An email sent to Scomi Engineering, did not yield any reply till the time of going to the press. A day after Chembur-Wadala Monorail services got disrupted and passengers were stranded as a result of the Monorail getting entangled with the wire of local cable TV operator, blame game has ensued.
