Restored Cooperage bandstand thrown open

more-inYuva Sena chief Aaditya Thackeray inaugurated the restored Cooperage bandstand on Wednesday. The bandstand is one of the 13 restoration projects completed by the BMC in south Mumbai. The bandstand now has a seating area made of wood with a stone base and octagonal posts, where performances can be held. On completing 150 years in 2017, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation decided to restore it at a cost of ?58.9 lakh. Work started in January 2017 and was completed by March 2018..
