Cidco extends rehab scheme to affected people

NAVI MUMBAI: Cidco has extended the incentive scheme of additional Rs 500 per square foot as construction aid for new houses and 18 month rental scheme to project affected persons ( PAPs), who were yet to vacate 10 villages in the core airport area land. The scheme has been extended to November 7. This means the rent for the 18 month -- a time period to build new houses on developed plots ---will start counting from this date.Earlier, MD, Lokesh Chandra had extended it to July 7 when Cidco handed over the monitoring work and completion pre-development of airport land by this year-end to operator ( MIAL).The extension has been given to encourage villagers to avail the schemes and vacate the villages in core area as just little over two months are left for the year to end and meet the project timeline..
