MUMBAI: In separate cases, two special Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act courts have convicted two men to 10 years imprisonment each, for sexually assaulting minor boys.In the first case from 2015, a 24-year-old man was found guilty of sexually assaulting two boys in his neighbourhood, aged five and four-and-a-half years old, after promising to buy them a toy that December. The prosecution said that while deposing as a witness, her mother, though admitting that the child was sexually abused, denied knowing the perpetrator. The child told them that he was experiencing pain in his private parts and proceeded to tell them about the assault on January 17 and 18, 2016. The prosecution had alleged that the matter came to light after the child confided in his family after they asked him why he was sitting in his underwear.
