Summary:

He also said that if the agency wants him to come to India, he would require minimum three months to be medically fit to travel. Mehul Choksi, on Saturday, through an application, informed the special Enforcement Directorate (ED) court that he is, and always was, ready to support the probe or appear for interrogation in the Rs 14,000 crore PNB scam. ED had filed an application requesting the court to declare accused Mehul Choksi a fugitive economic offender and that his property be confiscated under the fugitive offenders act. Citing ill health, Choksi said that he cannot travel and if the ED so wishes, he can meet them in Antigua, where he is currently supposed to be. Choksi's application, however, opposed the same and said, "The accused neither left the country post registration of complaint with the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) or by the ED, nor has he refused to return, as alleged, but has not been able to return due to his medical condition.".
