NAVI MUMBAI: The annual budget of Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation which was supposed to be announced on Friday has now been postponed on account of the shocking terrorist attack at Pulwama , in which 38 CRPF jawans were killed. ``I will soon be raising the issue of keeping some funds for the families of our martyrs in the next NMMC budget session. ''The budget date had earlier been fixed for today (February 15); however, due to the tragic killing of our Indian soldiers at Pulwama, it was decided to adjourn the budget. However, it has to be discussed and decided keeping in mind the national policies for martyrs -- whether our civic body can keep a regular budgetary provision in such sensitive matters. I personally also feel that we must have a budgetary provision for helping out the families for the martyrs.''.
