Man deposits fake notes in ATM, held in Dombivli

KALYAN: A Dombivli-based spare parts businessman, Sukesh Bangera, was arrested for allegedly depositing fake currency notes of Rs 50,000 in his bank account through an ATM machine in Dombivli Police said on February 10, the staff of Bank of Baroda opened the ATM of the Dombivli branch to withdraw cash and found 25 fake currency notes of Rs 2,000 each. They found Bangera had deposited the fake notes on February 9.Branch manager Riju Jeswani approached Vishnu Nagar police who registered an FIR and arrested Bangera.PSI Vikas Patil of Vishnu Nagar police station said probe was on to know source of the currency. Police said they checked the CCTV footage and matched the timing and cash details deposited by customers. -Pradeep Gupta.
