Bombay HC to hear on April 2, PIL seeking judicial inquiry in CSMT bridge collapse and suspension of officials

As per the petition a judicial inquiry, headed by a retired high court judge should be conducted. The Bombay High Court has posted for hearing on April 2, a Public Interest Litigation filed by a social activist seeking a judicial inquiry be conducted in the foot overbridge collapse outside the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus, recently. Also suspend corporation officials whose lapses caused the collapse of the bridge. It has also asked Kantawala to serve personal notice to the respondents, State of Maharashtra and Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation. Advocate Sujay Kantawala appearing for the petitioner, Shakheel Ahmed mentioned the matter before the court which has kept the matter for further hearing on the next date..
