Mumbai: Three more civic hospitals to store patients' data online

Mumbai | Wednesday | 15th May, 2019

Summary:

A few more civic-run hospitals are about to start a health management information system (HMIS) in order to record patients' case study digitally. They are working on interlinking the cases if the patient is referred from one municipal hospital to another. Taking into account two hospitals and five dispensaries, around 3,72,158 patients have been registered in HMIS. Before being started in municipal hospitals, as a basic trial to know the future challenges, five municipal dispensaries around Mumbai Central were introduced to the system. While the pilot project was first started in five civic-run dispensaries and later, in BYL Nair Hospital and Kasturba Hospital, three more hospitals will be setting up the system to record data..
